EP DANCE was founded in 2016 by our Principal, Director & Founder Emily Place. Starting off with Baby Ballet and Adult Tap, we now offer classes in all aspects of theatre dance for kids and teens and classes for adults as well as courses, workshops and dance camps.
Our students are given many opportunities throughout the year, from government accredited examinations and medal tests with the IDTA, to our annual show, dance competitions and much more.
Class sizes are small so each student can reach their maximum potential.
All our classes are run from our central Stockport dance studio which we moved into in March 2020.
Emily started dancing at the age of 4, training in IDTA Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz. When she left school she embarked on a 2 year Performing Arts Diploma at Shena Simon College, studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Street, Commercial and Musical Theatre, gaining a triple Distinction. Upon leaving Shena Simon, Emily began her teacher training and started her first freelance teacher job. EP DANCE was then opened in April 2016 and the rest is history! Emily also has recently trained with Urban Strides on their Teacher Training Qualification to bring real authentic Street Dance to Stockport.

EP DANCE helped me get back into dancing after quitting it for a few years and as it has increased my confidence it helped me branch out into other areas of performance arts. This encouraged me to persue acting at uni where I am today.

My daughter started with EP DANCE in September 2016. Since then I've seen her go from a shy little girl to a now 7 year old who loves all aspects of dancing. Her confidence and presence whilst she is dancing is completely different to her day to day mannerisms; it's a place she can be herself and express herself through dance. EP DANCE is a family with genuine concern for the wellbeing of their students. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending EP DANCE at any given opportunity.

I'm really glad I joined EP DANCE. When I first joined I didn't have any confidence whatsoever but the people that attended were so welcoming and I've now made friends for life. I've loved every second of it.
